Hello
Hey there! I’m Sophia Valois, a tuba player with 7 years of experience and 3 years of tutoring. I believe music should be fun and accessible, which is why I offer free lessons for anyone eager to learn! Whether you’re picking up a tuba for the first time or need some help with music theory, I’m here to guide you. All profits and donations will be directed to a charity of your choice from the list of organizations we support. Let’s make music and give back to these incredible causes!

My Story
I’ve been playing the tuba for as long as I can remember, and over the years, I’ve come to realize that teaching others brings just as much joy as playing. I started tutoring 3 years ago to share my passion and knowledge, and now, I’m offering free lessons to anyone who wants to learn. Music is a powerful tool, and I want to make sure everyone has access to it.
That’s why all profits and donations will be directed to a charity of your choice from the following organizations, each working to make music education accessible and impactful for all:
-
Music Will (formerly Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation): A nonprofit dedicated to restoring and expanding music education in U.S. public schools by providing teacher training, curriculum resources, and instruments.
-
Save The Music Foundation: Focuses on restoring instrumental music education in public schools, offering grants for instruments, technology, and resources, while supporting teachers and advocating for music education.
-
Miami Music Project: Uses music as a tool for social transformation, empowering children through music education.
-
MusicLink Foundation: Connects students from low-income families to music teachers who provide lessons at a reduced fee.
-
Hungry for Music: Provides musical instruments to students eager to learn, focusing on those who demonstrate a strong desire to pursue music.
Together, we can make music and give back to these incredible causes!
